Philly Cheese Steak Ground Beef Tacos
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion thinly sliced
- 1 small green bell pepper thinly sliced
- 1 small red bell pepper thinly sliced
- ½ cup shredded provolone cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 tablespoon butter optional, for toasting tortillas
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Add the sliced onion and bell peppers, cooking until soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, stirring to combine.
- Once the beef is browned, stir in Worcestershire sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and mix in the sautéed onions and peppers.
- Sprinkle the provolone and mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture and let it melt. Stir gently to combine.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or lightly butter and toast them for extra flavor.
- Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into each tortilla and serve immediately.
