- 6 slices bacon chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.
- Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
- Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess grease if needed, then stir in the cooked bacon.
- Add beef broth, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Simmer on low for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chili thickens.
- Stir in butter for extra richness and let it melt into the chili.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add more cayenne or a few dashes of hot sauce.
If you prefer a thicker chili, reduce the beef broth slightly or let it simmer longer.
For extra richness, mix in a little shredded cheese or a dollop of sour cream before serving.
This chili is perfect for meal prep and tastes even better the next day.
