Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne if using.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear pork chops for 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until combined.
  • Spoon glaze over the pork chops and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove from heat and let pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Special Considerations:
For deeper flavor, let the pork chops marinate in a brown sugar and Worcestershire mix for 30 minutes before cooking. If using bone-in pork chops, increase the cook time slightly to ensure even cooking. Pair with garlic butter green beans, roasted sweet potatoes, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
Notes/Variations:
Substitute honey for brown sugar for a different sweetness profile.
Add a dash of apple cider vinegar for a tangy contrast.
Use thick-cut bone-in pork chops for extra juiciness.
