Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp Seafood Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 10 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper optional for heat
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish
  • Steamed white rice for serving
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, then coat the shrimp evenly in the mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat, add the shrimp, and cook for about two minutes per side until golden brown and opaque.
  • Reduce heat to low, add melted butter and minced garlic, and stir continuously for one to two minutes until fragrant.
  • Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the shrimp and toss to coat.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot with steamed white rice and lemon wedges.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with cornstarch or a gluten-free flour blend.
For a milder garlic flavor, reduce the garlic to six cloves and omit cayenne pepper.
For a richer taste, use clarified butter instead of regular butter.
